§ 56. Mr. Chichester-Clarkasked the Postmaster-General what is the average time taken for parcels posted in the London area to reach Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. Joseph SlaterMuch depends upon the time of posting. Parcels for Belfast should generally be delivered not later than the second week day after posting; and if posted early in the day, on the day following posting. Parcels from London to elsewhere in Northern Ireland generally take about a day longer. I have no reason for thinking that the majority of parcels are not currently getting this kind of service.
