HC Deb 04 February 1965 vol 705 c306W
42. Mr. Sharples

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will seek to amend the law so as to make it easier for the courts to order the confiscation of articles used in connection with the commission of crime.

Miss Bacon

My right hon. Friend has reviewed the position but he is not satisfied of the need for amendment of the law in this respect. He proposes to give further advice to the police and to prison and borstal governors in the light of a recent case.
