§ 46. Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will have talks with the enterprises involved, with a view to prohibiting the sale of inflammable material used for children's clothes; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. George ThomasMy right hon. Friend is already considering whether the scope of the Children's Nightdresses Regulations, 1964, might be extended to other children's garments and to material for children's clothing sold in the piece, and discussions will be held soon with the interests concerned. I am bound to say, however, that the control of materials sold in the piece presents many difficulties and may, in the end, prove to be impracticable.
