HC Deb 09 December 1965 vol 722 cc149-50W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on the report of the Board of Trade inquiry into the loss at sea with all hands of the Aberdeen trawler "Blue Crusader", which foundered off Ronaldsay Firth, Orkney, on 13th January, 1965; and, in particular, if he will detail the efforts which were made to prevent her loss and to save her officers and crew.

Mr. Mason

The formal investigation into the loss of the "Blue Crusader" was held last week and we have just recived the court's report. It will be published and I will see that a copy is sent to my hon. and learned Friend. The court's findings and recommendations will be carefully studied and any action that it may show to be necessary will be taken.
