§ Mr. Roy JenkinsIn telling the House on 6th April of the decision to cancel the TSR2, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence said: "The Government expect their contractors to act as good employers and are willing to bear, through their contracts, a fair share of the burden of severance payments." Our negotiation of cancellation costs with the British Aircraft Corporation is on this basis.
