asked the Minister of Aviation whether he is aware of delays in arrival at London Airport being caused by the repeated closure of tunnels and restricted traffic; and when he expects these tunnels to be in full operation.

I very much regret the delays which have been caused by essential work on the East Bore, but this has now been completed and the tunnels were restored to full operation on Monday, 26th July. We have to do further work in the West Bore, but this will not be started until after the peak summer traffic season and will be done during the night.
