asked the Minister of Transport when he expects that the two footbridges over the Barking by-pass will be complete; and if, in view of the inconvenience caused by the premature erection of the central guard-railing, he will seek to expedite their completion.

The footbridge near Gascoigne Road was erected on 27th July. The contract for the footbridge at King Edwards Road will be let shortly. I am writing to my hon. Friend.
