asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what price the housewife would have to pay for the following commodities if no subsidy were paid to the farmers and they wee able to charge the economic price for producing them, namely, beef, pork, lamb, bacon, bread, eggs, milk, butter and cheese.

I regret that I cannot forecast what prices housewives would have to pay in the hypothetical situation envisaged.
