HC Deb 28 April 1965 vol 711 c57W
79. Mr. Scott-Hopkins

asked the Minister of Aviation what plans he has for the establishment of a new international airport in the south-west region; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Stonehouse

Provision of new aerodromes is primarily a matter for local interests who are best placed to assess local needs. The Ministry of Aviation will gladly advise on all technical aspects of such proposals. There are civil aerodromes at Bristol, Exeter and Plymouth, in addition to the heliport at Penzance, in the south-west region.
