Mr. Warbeyasked the Minister of Power whether he is aware of the problems created for local planning authorities and for persons living in colliery neighbourhoods by the extension of colliery spoil tips; and whether he will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the National Coal Board to consider measures to dispose of colliery waste in places where it is less deleterious to local amenities and the health and comfort of local residents.
