§ Mr. George ThomsonThe Foreign Secretary told Mr. Rusk that my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade would be visiting Peking in fulfilment of an engagement arranged by his predecessor in office. Mr. Rusk did not indicate that there was any change in United States policy towards British trade with China. The question of a statement does not arise.
