HC Deb 04 May 1964 vol 694 cc115-6W
44. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Minister of Health to what extent it is the practice of local health committees to require that persons advertising their services as childminders while the mothers are out at work shall be registered and conform to minimum conditions in respect of the children temporarily in their charge; and what recommendations on this matter he has made to local authority health committees and medical officers of health.

Mr. Braine

It is already an offence for a child minder not to be registered with the local health authority, who can refuse registration, lay down conditions and inspect premises.
