§ Q8. Mr. McMasterasked the Prime Minister whether, following his visit to Northern Ireland, he will consider initiating a review of the steps already being taken in the United Kingdom to assist industrial development there in collaboration with the Government of Northern Ireland, in order that a new impetus can be given to Her Majesty's Government's plans to share the benefits of the present high rate of industrial expansion in the United Kingdom more fully with Northern Ireland, and that new methods of giving more rapid effect to this policy can be devised and put into operation.
§ The Prime MinisterThere is already close consultation between the two Governments, and my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary keeps the interests of Northern Ireland continuously before his colleagues in the United Kingdom Government. I do not consider that a formal review of the kind proposed by my hon. Friend could add further impetus.
