HC Deb 16 June 1964 vol 696 c156W
Sir G. Wills

asked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations and the Colonies what arrangements have been made for the appointment of Trustees for the Pension Fund to which reference is made in the Central African Public Officers' Agreement, Command Paper No. 2387.

Mr. Sandys

The Crown Agents for Overseas Governments and Administrations have been appointed, in accordance with Section 26(1) of the Dissolution Order in Council (S.I. 1963 No. 2085) by a Trust Deed entered into between the Crown Agents, the Governments of Northern Rhodesia, Southern Rhodesia and Nyasaland, Her Majesty's Government, the Liquidating Agency and the Staff Commission. The Trustees will have the functions set out in Section 28(1) of the Order in Council. The appointment of the Crown Agents does not, of course, place any obligation on Her Majesty's Government toward the Pension Fund other than those assumed in paragraph 5 of the Central African Public Officers' Agreement.
