§ 42. Sir D. Kaberryasked the Postmaster-General why a letter package with a 2s. pre-impressed stamp handed in at Leeds General Post Office at 6 p.m. on Wednesday 3rd June was not delivered in Westminster until 10.15 a.m. on 8th June; and if he will cause a general inquiry to be made into why there are constant delays in deliveries of letters and parcels between Leeds and London, and London and Leeds.
§ Mr. MawbyThe time taken to deliver this packet was quite excessive. I am sorry about this. My inquiries have not revealed what went wrong, but I am looking into the service between Leeds and London and will write to my hon. Friend.
