HC Deb 16 June 1964 vol 696 cc162-3W
46. Dr. A. Thompson

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what investigations he has made into the adverse effects of fumes from oil-fired systems of domestic heating, and the persistence of these fumes, particularly in warm weather; and whether he will make a statement.

Sir K. Joseph

As regards investigations I would refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to a Question by him on the 15th April. Warm weather frequently—but not always depending on such other factors as humidity and cloud—produces conditions which assist dispersion of fumes.
