§ Mr. GreenIn 1951–52 taxation yielded £4,193 million, which represents 32.5 per cent. of the Gross National Product; in 1963–64 the lower rates of taxation in force yielded £6,651 million, which represents 24.7 per cent. of Gross National Product.
