HC Deb 17 February 1964 vol 689 c161W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis is satisfied that there are enough police, and adequate arrangements, to guard against further damage and disorder at underground stations in the Chigwell urban district of Essex; and what arrangements exist for cooperation in this matter between the Metropolitan and the railway police.

Mr. Woodhouse

The Commissioner of Police tells me that he is satisfied that there are adequate police arrangements to deal with incidents at underground stations in the Chigwell Urban District. In recent months extra supervision has been given during certain periods of the week. There is at all times close co-operation with the British Transport police.
