§ 87. Mr. F. Noel-Bakerasked the Minister of Labour what special steps his local officials will take to assist redundant Swindon railway workshop workers in view of the accelerated rate of redundancies now taking effect.
§ Mr. GodberAs I explained in my letter to the hon. Member, workpeople affected by this redundancy should generally have good prospects of alternative employment. My local officers will continue to register redundant work-people in advance of their discharge and will make available the full facilities of my Department, including training, where appropriate.
