§ 32. Mr. Wadeasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what action Her Majesty's Government will take on the resolution of the Council of Europe on European Political Union, requesting that the several Governments set out their views as to the main lines on which they believe a form of European political unity can best be achieved.
§ Mr. MathewA draft Recommendation on this subject was tabled in the Council of Europe Consultative Assembly on 16th January. It has been referred to the Assembly's Political Committee. The Assembly itself has not yet adopted it, and the question of action by Her Majesty's Government does not, therefore, arise at this stage.
