asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he will seek powers to require local authorities to demolish pill-boxes and concrete road blocks, left over from the war, where these are unsightly.

No. Local authorities have adequate powers and my right hon. Friend sees no reason for further legislation.
