asked the Minister of Transport when telephone boxes will be established on the Slough section of M.4 for the service of motorists, particularly in the event of accidents.

In Spring, 1965, when the complete 24½ mile Chiswick-Maidenhead Thicket length of M.4 will be open to traffic. On short lengths of motorway, as on many stretches of trunk road in open country, drivers must rely for assistance in emergencies on passing drivers, police and other patrols, and any nearby telephones.
