Mr. Pearsonasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware of the urgency of sanctioning the Llantrisant by-pass road scheme which has received high priority in the Glamorgan County Council roads programme since 1955; and if he will make a statement on the result of the traffic survey carried out to estimate the traffic likely to use the bypass when it is built.
§ Mr. MarplesIt was to assist me in assessing the urgency of this scheme that the traffic survey to which the hon. Member refers was held. I expect to receive the results shortly and shall then be able to decide whether to include the scheme in the next phase of the rolling programme.
