Mr. W. R. Williams

asked the Postmaster-General what plans he has for rebuilding the Post Office cableships "Ariel" and "Iris", thus providing the Post Office with modern ships, the crew with adequate accommodation, and the shipbuilding industry with work.

Certain improvements were made to these ships fairly recently and they are giving satisfactory service. I do not think that any further action is justified at present.
