HC Deb 29 March 1963 vol 674 cc197-8W
Sir C. Mott-Radclyffe

asked the Lord Privy Seal what assistance Her Majesty's Government has offered to the Indonesian Government following the disaster at Bali.

Mr. P. Thomas

Her Majesty's Government have offered up to £1,000 worth of aid to be made available through the British Red Cross in Singapore.

Parliament will in due course be asked to vote that amount by means of a Supplementary Estimate. In the meantime an advance will be obtained from the Civil Contingencies Fund as required.

My noble Friend the Secretary of State has also sent a message of sympathy to Dr. Subandrio.
