HC Deb 26 March 1963 vol 674 c146W
66. Dr. A. Thompson

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether it is now possible to end the curtailment of the British Information Services in the United States of America; and if be will make a statement

Mr. Heath

As a result of the review conducted by my right hon. Friend the Secretary for Technical Co-operation, to which he referred in the House on 29th January, a considerable expansion of our information and cultural work will take place this year, but it is not proposed for the time being to increase the work in the United States of America. We still spend more on information work in the United States of America than anywhere else.
