asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make a statement about the proposed constitution for Swaziland.

As I informed the hon. Member for Eton and Slough (Mr. Brockway) on 13th February, the Resident Commissioner has been carrying out further consultations in Swaziland on the basis of conclusions prepared by Her Majesty's Government after the recent constitutional conference. The Swazi National Council have stated that they will give their views on these conclusions on 23rd April. In the meantime I have no statement to make.
