§ Sir E. BoyleLocal education authorities submitted proposals for school and further education major works to the value of £218 million and £177 million for 1962–63 and 1963–64 respectively. The corresponding value of work approved to start in these two years is £81 million and £72 million. Authorities' proposals for minor works amounted to £22 million in 1962–63 and £32 million in 1963–64 The approved level of minor works starts of all kinds is £16 million for each year.
