HC Deb 25 July 1963 vol 681 cc220-1W
74. Mr. Shepherd

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is aware of the growing extent to which young male prostitutes importune on the streets in the West End of London; what action has been taken on this problem; and what further action is contemplated.

Mr. Brooke

I know of no evidence to suggest that importuning by young males in the streets of the West End is increasing. The Commissioner of Police is satisfied that the present police arrangements for dealing with this type of offence are adequate.
