§ 103. Mr. W. Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the extent of medical and public support for a new general hospital in central West Fife; and whether he will include such a hospital in the second half of the 10-year building programme.
§ Mr. NobleI am aware that there is strong support for providing a new general hospital for West Fife, but I am afraid that there is no prospect of additional funds of the order that would be involved being made available before 1970 for expenditure in Fife, where ex-196W ceptionally large hospital expenditure in relation to population has already been committed.
