§ 34. Mr. Steeleasked the Postmaster-General what proposals he has for the improvement of television reception in Dumbarton and Helensburgh.
§ Mr. BevinsThe B.B.C. tells me that, while television reception should be reasonably satisfactory in Dumbarton, it is periodically impaired in Helensburgh at this time of the year by interference from Continental stations operating around the same frequency channel. There are unfortunately many places in Scotland where reception is poorer than in Helensburgh, and the B.B.C. intends to give them priority.
