§ Mr. Denzil FreethIt is the responsibility of the universities and technical colleges to ensure that their students work in conditions of safety, whether they hold Department of Scientific and In-152W dustrial Research awards or not; but, to assist in reducing accidents, D.S.I.R. is distributing this autumn, and subsequently annually, its publication "Safety Measures in Chemical Laboratories" to university and technical college chemistry departments and to all new D.S.I.R. award holders in these departments.
