§ Mr. Bottomleyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many Africans hold commissioned rank in the Swaziland police force; how many non-commissioned Africans in that force have more than five years of service; how many Europeans hold commissioned rank; how many European officers have served for less than two years; and how many European officers are South African citizens.
§ Mr. SandysThere are no African gazetted officers in the Swaziland Police Force. 121 non-commissioned Africans had over five years service at 31st December, 1962. There are eleven European gazetted officers who all had more than five years service at that date. There are no South African citizens among these, apart from one officer who has dual nationality.
