asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what plans he has for moving Her Majesty's Patent Office out of the central London area.

The Patent Office was included with all other headquarter offices of Government Departments in the London area in the review which Sir Gilbert Flemming has recently carried out to advise the Government as to what work might be moved elsewhere. I expect to announce the Government's plans for action on his report very shortly.
