§ Mr. Willeyasked the President of the Board of Trade what special benefits provided under the Local Employment Act have been granted to Sunderland since it was added to the list of active development districts.
§ Mr. ErrollSince the Board of Trade resumed acceptance on 8th November, 1962, of applications for assistance under the Local Employment Act for projects in Sunderland eight applications have been received of which two have been approved and six are under consideration. In addition one of the advance factories that I announced in November is to be built in Sunderland.
