Mr. Montgomeryasked the Secretary of State for Industry, Trade and Regional Development if he will make a statement on the representations Her Majesty's Government have made in Washington regarding the proposed amendment to the River Basins Bill, now before Congress, which would require the United States Government to buy United States made equipment even if it was up to 50 per cent. more expensive than the competing foreign product, in view of the discrimination this would introduce against British goods.
