asked the Minister of Transport what steps he has taken to implement Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act 1962.

As my right hon. Friend said in reply to a Question on 24th July by my right hon. Friend the Member for Guildford (Sir R. Nugent), we have appointed a Committee to advise us on the regulation of motoring events on public highways under the powers of this Section. We hope to have its report early in the New Year.
