Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will list in Hansard those persons who receive their wages and salaries through the Treasury, directly or indirectly, who have not received an increase in such wages or salaries since the date on which Members of Parliament's salaries were last raised.
§ Mr. MaudlingThe wages and salaries of all Civil Service grades have been increased since 1st July, 1957. It would require an unreasonable expenditure of time and public money to establish in detail the position in cases where the Treasury has an indirect interest.
