§ Mr. Masonasked the First Secretary of State whether he is aware that eight Nyasaland students have been obliged by the Nyasaland Government to withdraw from the University College of Rhodesia and Nyasaland; that pressure is being brought to bear by the Nyasaland Government on others to return to Nyasaland, and that the Nyasaland Minister of Education is not allowing bursaries given by his Government to be tenable in Rhodesia; to what extent his Department has given consideration to this matter; what steps he proposes to take; and if he will make a statement.
