HC Deb 19 November 1962 vol 667 c85W
30. Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what estimate he has made of the effect that the proposals to reduce fish supplies on British Railways will have on the fishing industry.

Mr. Soames

I understand that on most of their trains with restaurant cars, British Railways have replaced the four-course meal by a three-course meal at which fish will normally be available as an alternative main course and may also he available as an alternative to soup or hors d'oeuvre. No estimate of the effect on fish supplies can therefore be made.
