HC Deb 13 November 1962 vol 667 c34W
Mr. Speir

asked the Minister of Transport in which areas of Britain detailed studies of the problems and requirements of rural transport have been initiated, in accordance with the undertaking he gave in answer to a Parliamentary Question on 1st August; and what have been the results of these studies.

Mr. Marples

These studies have needed careful and detailed preparation. I am not quite ready with the final plan. Hon. Members have given me much useful advice about which areas I should look at. I hope soon to say which I have finally chosen.
