HC Deb 13 November 1962 vol 667 cc28-9W
61. Mr. Swingler

asked the President of the Board of Trade what are the matters which remain to be clarified before decisions can be taken on the negotiation of co-production film treaties with other countries; and when he expects to be able to respond to the informal approaches of the French and Italian Governments.

Mr. D. Price

These matters involve principally the safeguards of British interests which must be considered in relation to any co-production Agreements. While the outstanding questions are being tackled as quickly as possible, my right hon. Friend would not dike to commit himself on this new and complicated subject to any precise time-table.
