HC Deb 09 November 1962 vol 666 cc101-2W
Mr. Iremonger

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects to have detailed information from hospitals about the causes of injuries from fireworks on Guy Fawkes Day; when he proposes to take such steps to stop such injuries; and what progress he has so far made in discussions on this subject with the manufacturers.

Mr. Brooke

As regards the first part of the Question, it is hoped that the returns from the hospitals will be received before the end of this month. The analysis will be carried out as quickly as possible. As regards the other parts of the Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the Answers given on 8th November to Questions by the hon. Members for Brixton (Mr. Lipton) and Bishop Auckland (Mr. Boyden).
