§ 38. Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Lord Privy Seal what steps he is taking to encourage direct conversation, through Her Majesty's ambassadors in the African countries concerned, between the associated overseas territories of the European Economic Community and Commonwealth countries in Africa regarding future economic relationships between Europe and Africa.
§ Mr. GodberHer Majesty's Government hope that the economic interests of the African countries associated with the European Economic Commission and those of the African members of the Commonwealth can be reconciled, but it is, of course, for the countries concerned to arrange for consultations among themselves, if they consider this desirable.
