Harrisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recommendations he has received from the Departmental Committee appointed three years ago to deal with the proper marking of vehicles, or containers on vehicles, which contain dangerous or inflammable liquids or gases; and what action he has now taken to implement these recommendations.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerA list of substances and a provisional scheme of marking has been drawn up in consultation with the transport and chemical industries. I now propose to seek the views of the local authority associations.
