§ Dr. A. Thompsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will 31W take steps to remedy the situation whereby a probation officer in Scotland has to work a year longer than an officer in England before he reaches his maximum salary.
§ Mr. NobleThe Morison Committee's proposals on the pay of the probation service, which included a recommendation that salaries should be uniform throughout Great Britain, were referred to the negotiating body for the Scottish probation service on 22nd March. No recommendation has as yet been made to me.
