§ Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Defence whether, on the basis of the first motion detection technique improved by recordings in deeper bore holes, it will be ultimately possible to detect all nuclear explosions and detect the difference between nuclear tests and earthquake tremors; and if he will make a statement.

§ Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Defence in view of the collaboration between the Atomic Energy Authority and the United States Atomic Energy Commission in studying the recent Russian series of nuclear tests, if he will now make a statement on their evaluation of these tests.
