Mr. de Ferranti

asked the Minister of Transport what action he proposes to take, following the accident which endangered the lives of 40 school children on the road between Broughton and Coniston, to ensure the future safe transport of children to the school in Coniston.

I was very sorry to hear of this accident. Local inquiries are still being made. I will let my hon. Friend know the results as soon as I can.
