asked the Minister of Transport if the pedestrian islands in the parish of Harrietsham on the A20 road will be completed by Easter 1962.

Mr. Marples

The road widening works are nearly completed. As soon as traffic can use the full width of the road work will start on the pedestrian islands. My agent authority is confident it will be completed by Easter.
