§ 58. Mr. Boxasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will give instructions for the release of Maindy Barracks and fields to Cardiff City Council who require these 27½ acres of land for housing and recreational purposes.
§ Mr. ProfumoMaindy Barracks will continue to be needed for Regular and Territorial Army units, and I regret that I cannot agree to their release. I recently made special arrangements by which the Cardiff City Educational Authorities can use the fields for recreational purposes.
